In Japanese, ‘takumi’ means a master craftsman — someone who devotes their entire life to doing one thing, and does it better than anyone else. The name says it all, so this is the most meticulously crafted ceramic set in the collection.
The cup is hand-glazed in a light, botanical green that looks different in the morning and different in the evening. It holds 350 ml, which is more than you need for a classic matcha — and that’s by design: it leaves room for milk if you fancy a latte rather than plain matcha that day.
Included in the set
- Chawan — a light green bowl, 350 ml, approx. 7.5 × 12 cm
- Chasen — a bamboo whisk, approx. 11 × 6 cm
- Chasen stand, approx. 7 × 6 cm
- Chashaku — bamboo spoon, approx. 18 cm
Tea sold separately.
