Ceremonial Matcha 200 g

You reach for the 200 g pack at one specific moment: when you realise that the 100 g pack will run out in three weeks, and a morning without a cup of tea is no longer an option.

It’s the same matcha as in the smaller packet — the same intense colour, the same gentle sweetness with a hint of grass and a creamy finish. The only thing that changes is the cost: the price per cup goes down, and you order it half as often.

How to brew it

2 g to 70 ml of water at 70–80 °C, whisked with a chasen for twenty seconds. Never use boiling water — that’s the only way to ruin good matcha beyond repair.

With a pack of this size, it’s worth transferring some of it to a smaller, airtight container and keeping it in the fridge, whilst keeping only your current supply on the worktop. Matcha doesn’t like light, heat or air — in that order.
